Coventry Borough travel to Daimler Green on Sunday 20th September to face New Spires in our latest Division Four fixture, with kick-off at 10:30am.
Like Borough, New Spires are new to the Leamington League this season, having made the switch from the Coventry Sunday League ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
They have wasted little time settling into their new surroundings, making a perfect start with two wins from their opening two league matches.
New Spires opened their campaign with an impressive 5–0 victory over Castle United at Daimler Green, before following that up with a 3–2 win away at Lillington Juniors last weekend.
With eight goals scored across those two fixtures, New Spires have certainly made their presence felt early on and will provide another good test for Borough.
However, Borough will make the trip to Daimler Green with plenty of belief of our own.
A full-strength squad is available for Sunday, giving the management team plenty of options ahead of the game. Preparations are already underway, with the focus firmly on putting together a strong performance and coming away from Daimler Green with the points.
There is plenty of quality within this Borough squad, and Sunday provides another opportunity for the group to show what it is capable of.
While New Spires' unbeaten start will give the hosts confidence, Borough won't be travelling there simply to make up the numbers. The aim is to compete from the first whistle, impose ourselves on the game and give everything to bring three points back with us.
With two Coventry sides meeting in the Leamington League for the first time, all the ingredients are there for an entertaining contest on Sunday morning.
